Roy Wehmanen served as an associate professor in the ME-EM department.

Wehmanen came to Michigan Tech in 1955 and served as advisor for general engineering students along with his responsibilities on the mechanical engineering faculty.

He retired in 1978. He earned an MS in Industrial Education from Wayne State and a BS in Industrial Arts from Northern Michigan University. He was an associate professor at the University of Dayton before coming to Michigan Tech. Wehmanen was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Second World War, and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
