'48Richard Henes fashioned considerable success from diligence and opportunity. A native of Menominee, Henes earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1948, followed by a law degree from the University of Michigan. In 1958, after working as an engineer and lawyer, he moved to Arizona and established what was to become the Henes Manufacturing Company, Henes Products and Henes Stamping. . . .

'50Bob Monica attended Michigan Tech after serving in the United States Army during World War II, and in 1950 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He continued his education at Princeton University, earning a Master of Science degree in Plastics Engineering in 1952. That same year Bob began his successful career with The Dow Chemical Company as a Plastics Technical Service Engineer. . . .

Tom Walker earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1962. He spent eight years with General Motors, then joined Volkswagen of America in 1976 as general superintendent of the assembly plant in New Stanton, Pennsylvania.
