John Beattie
'63John M. Beattie took his first job upon graduation with the Louis Allis Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was a design engineer on a variety of commercial, military, and NASA space projects. His expertise was in ball bearing technology and V-belt technology. Chuck Laurila earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1959 and began his career as a field engineer with Boeing Company's Aerospace Division. He spent seven years with Boeing, becoming a senior engineer working on the Minuteman missiles at Air Force bases in the Western states.
