Daniel L. Rivard
Dan Rivard graduated from MTU in 1959 with a degree in mechanical
engineering. After graduation he joined Ford Motor Company,
where he has spent his entire career. Upon his retirement
in 1992, he was executive director for product and process
quality improvement, leading the company's effort to fundamentally
change the way it produces vehicles. Prior to that, he managed
Ford's light truck operations. In 1993, he was called back
to lead the company's international racing effort and its
specialty vehicle planning and marketing operations. Rivard
recently completed an eight-year term on the MTU Board of
Control, including one year as chair, and received the Distinguished
Alumnus Award in 1990.
