Tony Altobelli has served as Assistant Treasurer at Google for eleven years since joining the company in 2007. In his role as head of the investment portfolio management group, Tony designed and established Google's investment management platform to manage the company's worldwide cash portfolio that presently exceeds $100 billion. John Drake is serious about giving back to his alma mater. He attributes his success in large part to "the training and rigor of a Michigan Tech education with its insistence on understanding." Drake earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1964 and a master’s in business administration in 1969. Dr. James C. Gerdeen (BSME '59) retired as Professor and Department of Mechanical Engineering Chair from the University of Colorado - Denver. After graduation, Jim worked in industry before completing his MS in 1962 from Ohio State University and later his PhD from Stanford in 1965, both in mechanical engineering. John Eastman graduated from Michigan Tech in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to earn an MBA from Ohio State University in 1980. After graduation, John went to work for General Motors Corp in the Buick Automobile Engineering Section where he was assigned to the Experimental Noise and Vibration Engineering Section.
