Professor Mohan Rao has been named a Fulbright Scholar
Rao's assignment will start May 1, 2009, at the Indian Institute of Science and will last approximately four months.
Rao will teach a course on environmental noise pollution for scientists and engineers at the Indian Institute of Science and in local industries. His research will focus on traffic and industrial noise pollution in Bangalore, India, and he plans to co-organize a workshop on this topic.
Fulbright Scholars serve as cultural ambassadors, and the program aims to foster mutual understanding and respect between the United States and other nations.
