John H. Johnson Ph.D. - Elected ASME Fellow 2007

Dr. John H. Johnson is recognized for his outstanding contributions over the past 40 years for his research, teaching, and scholarly activities in academe and industry. His experience spans a wide range of analysis and experimental work related to advanced engine concepts, emissions studies, fuel systems, and engine simulation with specific application to the assessment of health impact, and model development for diesel particulate traps. He has been a PI or Co-PI for several projects over the past 40 years and has published more than 200 technical papers in archival journals and conference proceedings. He has served on many committees related to engine technology, engine emissions, and health effects with the Society of Automotive Engineers, the National Research Council (NRC), the Combustion Institute, the Health Effects Institute, and the Environmental Protection Agency.
