The 2012 Outstanding Service Award posthumously honored Tanya Wareham Klain, who died on December 7, 2008. Tanya earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1990 and was a vibrant presence on campus. Hussein M. Zbib earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1981, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1983 and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics in 1987 all from Michigan Tech. Sandra received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan Tech in 1978. After graduating from the University, she accepted a position with Illinois Tool Works in Des Plaines, IL. Over the next several years, she held positions at various companies, joining United Technologies Automotive in 1983 as a manufacturing engineer.
