Kristy Sharkey earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1998. She spent the first 10 years of her career working in engineering roles in both the automotive and aerospace industries and then transitioned to UX design and research in 2009.  Sharkey has held several customer-focused roles since the start of her career. Raymond M. Trewhella (BSME ’56) began his career with Cliff Naturals (Cleveland Cliffs) in 1956 where he was responsible for mechanical and electrical maintenance for forty skilled associates and the startup of the first pelletizing iron ore plant in Michigan.
