Charlie Cretors earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1963 and began his career with Commonwealth Edison of Chicago. In 1967 he joined his father and brother at C. Why did you choose Michigan Tech? My parents are both from the east end of the UP and I spent a lot of time visiting "the yoop" . During my childhood. I knew I wanted to be an engineer since a young age, and after visiting Tech during a summer family camping trip in 7th grade I knew where I was supposed to be. John Drake is serious about giving back to his alma mater. He attributes his success in large part to "the training and rigor of a Michigan Tech education with its insistence on understanding."
