Daniel R. Kapp (BSME '76) is Director, Powertrain Research and Advanced Engineering at Ford Motor Company. He is also a graduate of the Ford College Graduate Program (FCG). After graduation from Michigan Tech, Dan went to work at Ford Motor Company as an engineer in the Car Product Development Group and has spent his entire career at Ford in positions of increasing responsibility in the area of engine and Powertrain . . .

Attending a Women in Engineering summer camp at Michigan Tech was the driving factor in Molli Andor enrolling as a student a year later. "I fell in love with the Keweenaw's natural beauty," she said. "Campus is positioned near so many prime outdoor locations to explore. Plus, spending the week on campus opened up my eyes to the engineering opportunities available." In 1978 Elzbieta graduated from Technical University of Wroclaw, Poland with a master's degree in Civil Engineering. While at Michigan Tech, she earned two degrees. A master's in Civil Engineering in 1981 and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering & Engineering Mechanics in 1985. Donald Wheatley

Donald Wheatley '62, '63

Donald G. Wheatley went to work for General Motors in 1963. He worked on the guidance systems doing vibration and fatigue analysis for the Apollo project. Out of the sixty new hires on the project, he was the only one remaining at the end. He also did some work on the main battle tank. Don then accepted an offer from Ford, where he worked on a small team to define the new Ford Maverick. He later led the team that designed . . .
