Robert Monica
'50Bob Monica attended Michigan Tech after serving in the United States Army during World War II, and in 1950 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He continued his education at Princeton University, earning a Master of Science degree in Plastics Engineering in 1952. That same year Bob began his successful career with The Dow Chemical Company as a Plastics Technical Service Engineer. . . .

'78, '80Why did you choose Michigan Tech? I wanted to study engineering and Michigan Tech was and still is the best University in Michigan to attend for an engineering degree. Raymond Kauppila
'60Ray Kauppila earned bachelor degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Michigan in 1951. He then came to Tech as a teacher in 1957 and received a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1960. He left Michigan Tech briefly to earn his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1968. Kauppila served Michigan Tech as a teacher and researcher from 1957 until his retirement . . .
