Why did you choose Michigan Tech? My parents are both from the east end of the UP and I spent a lot of time visiting "the yoop" . During my childhood. Joan graduated from Michigan Tech in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. She subsequently earned her master's degree in mechanical engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 1984. Post Michigan Tech she was hired as an engineer with the Advance Development Department of Hughes Aircraft in Los Angeles and was given a Top Secret clearance. Wendy received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1991. She is currently the President of Edgestone Consulting Inc., a firm she founded in 2002. Wendy is also a graduate of the FastTrac II Entrepreneurial Program from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a business coach who completed the co-active coaching program through the Coaches Training Institute.
