John Drake is serious about giving back to his alma mater. He attributes his success in large part to "the training and rigor of a Michigan Tech education with its insistence on understanding." Drake earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1964 and a master’s in business administration in 1969. John Eastman graduated from Michigan Tech in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to earn an MBA from Ohio State University in 1980. After graduation, John went to work for General Motors Corp in the Buick Automobile Engineering Section where he was assigned to the Experimental Noise and Vibration Engineering Section. Ray H. Herner earned his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1953 and an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering in1954.  Prior to coming to Michigan Tech, Ray attended Lake Superior State University ("Soo Tech") for two years.  At Tech, Ray received a Teaching Fellowship for Mechanical Engineering.  After graduation he lived and worked in Alpena for 22 years.  His career included working at Abitibi, . . .

Eric A. Nielsen earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1980 at Michigan Tech and went on to earn an MBA-Finance amp; International Business, at the University of Chicago in 1988. After graduating from Michigan Tech he started as a consulting engineer with Hazard Engineering in Morton Grove, IL.
