Welcome to the new and improved "Playground" - Shannon's Web of pages,
images, trivia and links. This page is supposed to tell you - the visitor
here - a little about me and to showcase my accomplishments. (Why else
would i take the time to put it on the web?) It is also here to provide a
semi-orderly way of listing all my own personal pages as well as the pages
that i have worked on for other people.
This is a new, improved (hopefully) version of the page - the old one had grown into a little monster that made no sense - not even to me. And worst of all, it was extremely out of date. So... i took it down. If you want to see my Old Main Page go ahead - it is still there for your viewing confusion. I am currently doing my thesis research in St. Joseph, Michigan, so i had to add another map to my page. If you need to contact me, the best way is still to email me at pipik@mtu.edu. |

A Little About ShannonLessee - I'm a grad student, I once was an undergrad, and my majors have been Chemistry, Physics and Mechanical Engineering - only the Physics and the Engineering stuck though. I currently attend Michigan Technological University, which is located in the beautiful but very different Upper Peninsula, and am working toward my MSME.For those of you who know where Houghton actually is, you know all about what it is like to get 300+ inches of snow a year, dodge Sno-Go machines, and freeze yourself nearly to death at Winter Carnival. If you are a Mechanical Engineering student at Tech, you know what it is like to leave for class before it gets light and go home after it gets dark every day of winter term, who the CAEL Partners are and what they do, and what a fish in a fishbowl feels like. If you missed out on these experiences and want to remedy the situation, this map will show you the way. If not, you are wise beyond your years. (Please note : Michigan Tech students are famous for complaining about the Houghton winters and then saying "You really gotta get up there sometime! It is so awesome!" That is what this paragraph is all about.) |

Two summers ago i worked at Whirlpool Corporation in St. Joe Michigan - it was WARM and much closer to "home" and i loved every minute of it - well almost every minute of it. I am again working at Whirlpool - this time i am trying to also complete my graduate research while i am working down there. If any friends will be in the area, mail me!
