Just something neat to look at. This animation shows the different stages of a full cycle inside the combustion chamber of one cylinder of an internal combustion engine.

           I’ve always found pleasure in looking at and learning from things that happen around me. Interestingly, many of the events that occur in nature are tied to rather simple laws that one can decipher through a structured analysis of the particular situation.

           This website is intended primarily as a journal of my research interests, although from time to time, I might include some of my personal stuff to share with the rest of the world.  I will ask, however, of the reader to use own discretion in deciding to look at and understand the material that is given in this web-page and its children. I hereby state that my interest in publishing anything is mostly academic, and whatever else that comes off the information provided here is strictly your business.

Here’s my calendar. I maintain a separate calendar in my e-mail account for weekly scheduling purposes, but I will also try (from time to time) updating this calendar with interesting events in my life.
