Over the weekend the Women and Men of the Michigan Tech Alpine Ski Team competed at Blackjack Mountain in Ironwood.

The MTU Men's Team won the Slalom by 2 seconds. On Sunday the team took 2nd in the GS, backed by a winning run of Chris Dehlin. Top finisher for MTU in the Slalom was DJ Longhini with a 3rd place. The 1st and 2nd put Michigan Tech on top, edging out University of Minnesota who scored a 3rd and a 1st.

This coming weekend the Tech Alpine Ski Team will be travelling down to Afton Alps for the Lake Superior Divisionals. A top 7 finish will qualify them for Regionals. The Men have finished 1st twice and 2nd twice this season. The Women have finished 7th and 6th at their two best races.

The Michigan Tech Alpine Ski Team is a club level sport at Tech but competes against many Varsity Teams in the United States Collegiate Snowsport Association. The Men's Team is ranked 9th in the Nation and the Women's is ranked 18th.
