Research Interests

Jeremy joined Michigan Tech in the summer of 2007 having come from GM Powertrain – Advanced Engineering.  While at GM, Jeremy was involved in many facets of engine development, calibration, and testing.  This included in-vehicle combustion analysis, leading the development of a high efficiency engine for a new hybrid electric vehicle, and the application and analysis of advanced variable valve timing (VVT) concepts.

Since joining Michigan Tech, Jeremy has continued to focus on IC Engines, especially research in the area of alternative fuel combustion including ethanol, butanol, methanol, hydrogen, biodiesel, and syngas derived from woody biomass.  He has also been coordinating the effort to create the new Alternative Energy Research Building, located in Hancock, MI.

Jeremy is a licensed professional engineer and holds one US patent, with others currently pending.
