Norsk Hydro-NTNU-MTU Executive Coordination Meeting and Tours of ME-EM at Michigan Tech

In November of 1998, representatives of Norsk Hydro a.s.a, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and Michigan Tech signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing a program to further technological, educational and scientific cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Each year, representatives of the three participating institutions meet at an Executive Coordination Meeting to review activity under the MOU, and plan for the coming year.

This year, the Executive Coordination Meeting was hosted by MTU President Glenn Mroz on June 28th. NTNU Rector Eivind Hauge and Hydro Aluminium Vice President Erik Sandvold joined President Mroz as lead representatives from their respective institutions. Other participants in the meeting were:

- Stig Brusethaug, Head of R&D at Hydro Aluminium, Sunndalsøra
- William Endres, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, MTU
- Per Kristian Larsen, Professor of Construction Technology, NTNU
- Adam Loukus, Graduate Student in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, MTU
- Shu-Zu Lu, Research Associate Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, MTU
- Mark Plichta, Chair of Materials Science and Engineering, MTU
- William Predebon, Chair of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, MTU
- Sigurd Støren, Professor of Materials Technology and Machine Design, NTNU
- Ghatu Subhash, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, MTU
