Research
Interests
Gupta’s research is focused on computer simulation of polymer
processing and design of plastic parts. Some of the projects he
is investigating are: 1) effect of elongational viscosity on polymeric
flows, 2) estimation of elongational viscosity for polymeric melts,
3) threedimensional simulation of the flow in ceramic injection
molding, 4) mixing of polymers, and 5) optimization of die geometry
for polymer extrusion.
