Interests
Dr. Gershenson performs research in the area of life-cycle engineering
and design theory and methodology with a concentration in product
and process architectures. Specific research interests include:
life-cycle design, modular product and process architectures, sustainable
product/process design, lean manufacturing, lean engineering, design
for post-manufacturing issues, and mechanisms of innovation. Current
research sponsors include the Nation Science Foundation, General
Motors, and ALCOA.
