| Harold J. Wiens 
 Harold 
                      
                      Wiens earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering 
                      
                      in 1968, and began his career with 3M as a Process Engineer. 
                      
                      In 1980 he was appointed Plant Manager of 3M's manufacturing 
                      
                      facility in Camarillo, California, and in 1983 became Manufacturing 
                      
                      Manager of 3M's Memory Technologies Group in 3M Europe. From 
                      
                      1989 to 1995, Harold led 3M's growing data storage tape technology 
                      
                      business, becoming Division Vice President in 1994. In 1995 
                      
                      he moved to Japan as Executive Vice President of Sumitomo 
                      
                      3M. He returned to the U.S. in 1998, first as Group Vice President 
                      
                      and then as Executive Vice President, 3M Industrial Markets. 
                      
                      As 3M's Executive Vice President, Industrial Markets, Harold 
                      
                      leads many of 3M's oldest, strongest, and most innovative 
                      
                      businesses. Harold's ties to MTU remain strong, he serves 
                      
                      on the university's National Advisory Board Blue Ribbon Committee 
                      
                      and the Michigan Tech National Advisory Board. He also serves 
                      
                      as a Director of the National Association of Manufacturers 
                      
                      and from 1989 to 1992 was Chairman of QIC Board of Directors.
