Short bio

I am Ph.D. candidate at Michigan Technological University in the Department of Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics. For my graduate education I have taken a multidisciplinary approach to understand the broader impacts of manufacturing activities; motivated by my interests in occupational health, air quality, and sustainability. Specifically, I am interested in the environmental and social implications of nanoparticles.

For my dissertion I am working on:
  1. adhesion of nanoparticle to surfaces
  2. resuspension of nanoparticles
  3. nanoaerosols behavior
  4. life cycle analysis of manufacturing processes
  5. social implications of nanoparticles
  6. incorporation sustainability principles into research and teaching
